A day at the zoo

Last weekend was a strange one. It was 50 degrees out so we took the kids to the zoo. I know 50 degrees to most of you sounds cold, but when you live in the coldest place on earth this was a heat wave! The kids enjoyed seeing the animals and being outside for the day. They got to see tigers, wolves, and a lot of new baby animals. Jacob was in rare form and when he was missing his nap time, he really got cranky. You will see what I mean when you see the pictures below. At the end of the day everyone was tired and fell asleep in the car! That was the most pleasant car ride home I have had in a long time!!

The next day we had a snow storm and we got a foot of snow! Talk about depressing. It was March 31st and we had snow, just as all the snow from winter had melted. It only took a few days and that melted too! It sure has been a long winter this year and a cold one at that! Grandma and Grandpa just got back from Floida and I think they are ready to go back! The kids missed their grandparents though.

This weekend was much better weather wise. I think it got into the 60's on Saturday! Chris and grandma went out shopping while the boys stayed at home and played outside! It is almost baseball season again so Patrick is practicing on the side of the shed in the backyard. Nathan is going to play t-ball in a few weeks also! Jacob is going to spend this year watching since he is too young to play sports yet, plus we are not really sure what he likes. We tried soccer this winter but he was not too interested. Jacob likes to eat and play with trucks, he doesn't spend much time playing any sports so I guess we will have to wait and see. I can't imagine what it is going to be like having all three kids playing sports. I will need to get another job to afford it all!

Well that's all for now. Until next time....... Enjoy the pictures! Oh by the way thanks for the comments, I'm glad that I have entered the 21st century! Thanks Vicki!
